WKU as a 10 and UNT as a 13. Experts are just being lazy on automatic bids and just taking highest team in NET. I don’t think this season they will rely solely on the NET. Most of you are forgetting this is just one metric out of many selection committee uses. It’s not the end all be all..

And if other conferences, like the WCC or the AAC have teams that do this (assuming the NCAA allows such a thing) then WKU can likely kiss their chance goodbye regardless because instead of Gonzaga being the conference champion they'll be taking an at large spot and the bubble gets popped altogether.

Their resume is that good if they can win out or only lose one more game before the tourney. (This post was last modified: 02-21-2021 02:54 PM by HiddenDragon.)

If everyone who thought they were a lock for the tournament sits out of their conference tournament then WKU finds themselves on the outside looking in because a bunch of autobids that would have gone to the best teams in those tournaments are now going to other undeserving teams. If they win out I think they do have a pretty good resume under normal circ*mstances but if they sit out and others sit out then the limited number of at large bids will go to the actual locks. Like Gonzaga.

Except about half of those years we’ve been screwed out of a deserved 2nd bid. I still think WKU has a good resume but they needed to either beat Houston or win CUSA. Better league this year than some years though.
